Leslie Esdaile Banks (born December 11) is an African American. She has written in various genres one of which is African American literature. Leslie Esdalie Banks started her career over ten years ago. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and she currently resides in University City, Philadelphia with her husband and blended family. Leslie writes under various pseudonyms; LA Banks, Leslie Esdaile, Leslie Banks and Leslie Esdaile Banks. In her ever steady and increasing career, she has dutifully won several literary awards. Leslie has written in several genres those diverse as romance, women’s fiction, crime suspense, dark fantasy/horror and non-fiction.
Leslie first began her career in corporate American's marketing world by working for many Fortune 100 firms. She has also worked as an executive for over a decade at such companies as Xerox, Hewlett Packard, and Digital Equipment Corporation. Leslie has taken her marketing expertise and created an unyielding entrepreneurial career as a marketing consultant working within the enivornment of economic development and the community-based organization environment.
Leslie has contributed to magazines, newspaper columns, and has written commercial fiction for five major publishers: St. Martin’s Press (NYC), Simon and Schuster (NYC), Kensington Publishing (NYC), BET/Arabesque (NYC), and Genesis Press (MS).
Books 1 and 2 of The Vampire Huntress Legend Series (“Minion” and “The Awakening,” respectively), have been optioned for Hollywood films by GothamBeach Entertainment and Griot Entertainment. Originally nine book series The Vampire Huntress Legend Series, has now become a twelve book series.
