Layla Miller is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. She first appeared in House of M #3, and was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Oliver Coipel.
Layla Miller is a young mutant girl who was introduced with the ability to restore the minds of others although definite details regarding her powers have been brought into question with her appearance in the new ongoing X-Factor series. She was instrumental in bringing down the House of M, when the Scarlet Witch warped reality and gave everyone false memories of living in the new, mutant-dominant world. Layla was one of only two unaffected characters (not counting the Scarlet Witch), along with Wolverine and she was able to restore the others' minds, helping them rebel against the House and restore reality. In House of M #7, Dr. Strange suggested that the Scarlet Witch created Layla to help the heroes.
In the new X-Factor series, Layla joins the team's X-Factor Investigations and seems to have knowledge on certain private matters and future events. In her own words: "I'm Layla Miller. I know stuff." In X-Factor, her mission is to make certain X-Factor never learns the truth about the Decimation.
She claims to know how she "knows things", but that she would be struck down and die on the spot if she told anyone. Whether this is true or not is unknown, as she has shown herself to be highly capable of manipulation during her time with X-Factor.
In X-Factor #8 she refers to herself as Quicksilver's nemesis.
