The Latin peoples are those linguistic-cultural groups that speak one of the Romance languages; they are called that because they speak languages descended from Vulgar Latin, not because they supposably descend from the Latins (Ancient Romans), as the overall majority of people speaking a Romance language can't claim such a heritage.

and their cultural descendants in the wider world, though mostly in Latin America.
