LG Electronics () () is an affiliate of South Korean LG Group which produces electronics and mobile phones. The name LG is an abbreviation of Lucky Goldstar, the company's former name. Before changing their name, many electronic products were sold under the brand name Goldstar, while some other household products (not available outside Korea) were sold under the brand name of Lucky. The Goldstar brand is still available but is a lower quality brand than the "LG" brand. LG is now one of the leading producers of electronics and emphasizes design and quality. Their slogan "Life's Good" is commonly mistaken for the abbreviation.
