Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List is a television show which premiered on Bravo in August of 2005. Griffin also revealed two comedy specials during the show's run, "Kathy Griffin Is...Not Nicole Kidman", and "The D-List". Furthermore, Kathy's abrasive emotional problems were heavily featured on the show. Her dysfunctional relationship with her parents and husband were heavily featured. It was also revealed that Griffin uses lithium medication. The first season of the show was nominated to a 2006 Emmy Award in the category "Outstanding Reality Program."

On the Ulmer Scale, the A-list refers to the most bankable movie stars; the C-list refers to the least. Griffin coined the term D-list to describe her status as a minor celebrity on the edge of obscurity.
