Kannemeyeriidae: A family of large, stocky, beaked and sometimes tusked dicynodonts, they were the dominant large terrestrial herbivores through most of the Triassic period. Well known genera include Kannemeyeria, Sinokannemeyeria, Dinodontosaurus, and Placerias.
