Jouy-en-Josas is a French commune in the département of the Yvelines, in the région Île-de-France, 4 km southeast of Versailles and 19 km southwest of Paris. It is a small town of 8,000 in the valley of the Bièvre. The commune is the seat of the École des hautes études commerciales, the Graduate School of Commercial Studies.
The name Jouy derives from Latin gaudium, giving French joie. Josas was the ancient name of an archdiaconate of the archbishop of Paris. Jouy-en-Josas was the site of the manufactory of toile de Jouy, in which copperplate vignettes were printed on cotton or linen. The 18th-century manufactory was overseen by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf, whose tomb is in the parish church. Many designs were supplied by Jean-Baptiste Huet.
