John Roll McLean (17 September 1848 – 1916) was the owner of The Washington Post and The Cincinnati Enquirer. The town of McLean, Virginia, is named for him. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was the father of Edward Beale McLean. In 1904, he and Senator Stephen Benton Elkins built the Great Falls and Old Dominion Railroad. In 1905, he and his father, Washington McLean, purchased a controlling interest in The Washington Post.

He was the father of Edward Beale McLean.
