John I of Bourbon (13811434) was Duke of Bourbon, from 1410 to his death and Duke of Auvergne since 1416. He was the eldest son of Louis II and Anna d'Auvergne. Through his mother, John inherited the County of Forez.

In 1400 in Paris, he married Marie, Duchess of Auvergne, daughter of John, Duke of Berry, who succeeded to the Duchy in 1416. They had three sons:

  1. Charles I, Duke of Bourbon (14011456)
  2. Louis (14031412, Paris), Count of Forez
  3. Louis I, Count of Montpensier (14051486)

John was captured at the Battle of Agincourt and died as a prisoner in London.
