John II Comyn, Lord of Badenoch or John "the Black", also known as Black Comyn was a Scottish nobleman and one of the six Regents to Queen Margaret of Scotland. Comyn joined John Balliol in his revolt against Edward but submitted to the English king i 1296. His son John III Comyn, Lord of Badenoch, or John "the Red" was one of the thirteen Competitors for the Crown of Scotland and upon exile of John Balliol, a close ally of the Comyn Clan, became one of the most powerful man in Scotland. Red Comyn was murdered by Robert the Bruce in Greyfriars Church, Dumfries in 1306 and this sparked a feud between the Bruce and Comyn factions.

Black Comyn died at Lochindorb Castle in 1302.
