Joachim "Jogi" Löw (* 3 February 1960 in Schönau im Schwarzwald, Lörrach) is the coach of the German national football team.
On 1 August 2004 he became assistant coach of Germany, under Jürgen Klinsmann. Both had played for VfB Stuttgart. During Klinsmann's two year reign, Löw was regarded as the tactician of the team. On 12 July 2006, following Klinsmann's decision to not renew his contract after the 2006 World Cup, Löw was named as the new head coach of Germany.
