Jim Leishman (born November 15 1953 in Lochgelly, Fife) is a former professional footballer and currently manager of Scottish Premier League team Dunfermline Athletic.

He played for Dunfermline from season 1970/71 until season 1976/77 when he was transferred to local rivals Cowdenbeath. His playing career was cut short due to injury. He then moved into coaching and management with Kelty Hearts Junior Football Club before becoming youth team coach and later a reserve team coach at Dunfermline. He was appointed manager of Dunfermline at the age of 29 in 1983 when the club was at the bottom of the Second Division. However two successive promotions in 1985-86 and 1986-87 saw them return to Scotland's top Division. He later had a spell in charge at Livingston where he guided them to the Scottish Premier League and Europe for the first time. He later returned to Dunfermline initially as General Manager but was appointed caretaker manager at the end of season 2004-05 with the club flirting with relegation. He saved them from relegation and as a result he was appointed as manager on a permanent basis.

Leishman is well known for his down to earth personality, excellent relationship with Dunfermline fans, and his "aeroplane" celebrations! He is skilled at man management, and is known for his ability to motivate and install self-belief in the players he manages.
