Jerry Burns (born January 24, 1927) is a former football coach who is best remembered for serving as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

Burns played quarterback at the University of Michigan from 1947-1951. He began his coaching career at the University of Hawaii then Whittier College, He was an assistant coach at the University of Iowa then the head coach there from 1961-65. He also was an assistant coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1966 to 67.

Burns was named the Vikings' fifth head coach in team history on January 7, 1986, having served as the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator from 1968-1985, when the team won 11 division titles and played in four Super Bowls. During his time as head coach, he may be best remembered for a November 12, 1989 profanity laced tirade where he defends then offensive coordinator Bob Schnelker, despite the fact that the Vikings kicked a leagure record-tying 7 field goals to defeat the Los Angeles Rams 21-18 in overtime. Burns retired from coaching after the 1991 NFL season.
