Jamie Noble (born either James Gibson or James Howard on December 23, 1976 in Hanover, West Virginia) is an American professional wrestler currently wrestling on World Wrestling Entertainment's SmackDown! brand in its cruiserweight division. He is also known for his appearances with Ring of Honor and World Championship Wrestling in its cruiserweight division.
He joined World Wrestling Entertainment as a heel under the name Jamie Noble by attacking the Hurricane and was joined by Nidia in a trailer park trash gimmick. He won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and feuded with Tajiri and Billy Kidman. Noble and Nidia both turned face by befriending Torrie Wilson and Billy Gunn. Later Noble turned heel again by secretly turning on Nidia. He also started fued with Rey Mysterio for the Cruiserweight Championship. She finally left him after she was "blinded" by Tajiri's mist and Noble did things he thought she couldn't see and lied to her about them. He was released on September 15,2004 when his steroid usage came to light following a staph infection.
After his no-compete clause expired, he began wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and Ring of Honor, as James Gibson. On June 28, 2005, it was confirmed that he would be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment after a one year absence, after fulfilling his independent circuit commitments.
Before returning to the WWE, he became the ROH World Heavyweight Champion when he wrestled as James Gibson in an elimination four-way match against CM Punk (champion), Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels on August 12, 2005. He lost the title to Bryan Danielson on September 17, 2005.
Jamie Noble made his return to WWE on the December 17, 2005 edition of Velocity and would later frequently team with fellow cruiserweight Kid Kash; during May 2006, Noble and Kid Kash debuted a gimmick, where they would wear dog collars as well as bark and bite. The pair were soon named The Pitbulls.
The Pitbulls will challenge the current WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick for the titles at The Great American Bash.
