Jadoon is a Pashtun tribe. They live in the Abbottabad District and Swabi District of Sarhad, Pakistan. Their spoken language is Pashto in Swabi and mostly Hindko in Abbottabad. The Jadoons were freedom fighters and they showed bravery against their rivals, especially the Sikhs and the British with other prominent Pashtun tribes of the region like Swati, Tareens Shilmani and Mashwanis. Their leader Sakhi Jan Jadoon has been martyred during the freedom efforts against the Sikhs in the 18th century. They are divided into two clans, namely Salar and Mansoor.
