Intercrosse is a non-contact form of lacrosse with a standardised set of rules using sofcrosse equipment. Intercrosse as a competitive sport is most popular in many continental European countries, as well as in Quebec in Canada.

In the Province of Lecce, Italy, there is an amatuer intercrosse league. The four teams are from Lecce, Vercurago, Merate, and Olginate.

There are two main international competitions in Intercrosse. The World Games are an annual event, with the distinction that while players from different countries come to compete, they are divided by a draw of lots into mixed teams, to provide a social atmosphere tournament. A biennial World Cup also exists now, and is in a more competitive format, where each country is represented by their best players.
