Ice Crystals are a form of precipitation.

  • AKA Diamond Dust
  • a fall of non-branched ice crystals in the form of needles, columns or even plates,
  • so small they may appear to be suspended in the air, they glitter in sunlight,
  • can fall from a cloudless sky,
  • typicaly found in the polar regions, they require very cold temperatures and stable air.
