Tolypocladium inflatum Gams is a fungus isolated from Norwegian soil that, in certain conditions, produces Ciclosporin (Cyclosporine). It is sometimes also identified under a different species name, Hypocladium inflatum gams. In 1983 it was noted that the fungus was earlier called Tolypocladium niveum. Bissett, 1983, Can. J. Bot. 61:1311-1329 In 1996 Kathie Hodge determined that is is a species of Cordyceps.Hodge, 1995, Inoculum 46.
