Hyde Park is the most southern neighborhood of the City of Boston, Massachusetts. Home to a diverse range of people and housing types, it is predominantly suburban in nature, yet provides easy access to downtown Boston. It was a separate town until annexed by Boston in 1912.
Local schools include Henry Grew Elementary, William Barton Rogers Middle School, and Hyde Park High.
Hyde Park is the home of Boston's current Mayor, Thomas M. Menino.
The George Wright Golf Course, named for Baseball Hall of Famer and Cincinnati Reds Shortstop George Wright, is in Hyde Park. This is a Donald Ross designed course and is considered one of his finest designs.
Manny Delcarmen, a relief pitcher for his hometown Boston Red Sox, grew up in Hyde Park.
