The Incredible Hulk Coaster is a steel roller coaster located in Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. Voted the #1 roller coaster by Discovery Channel viewers in 1999, the Hulk is unique since it features a launch lift hill as opposed to conventional chain lifts. This means the train accelerates to 40 mph (18 m/s) in a short time (approximately two seconds) before speeding through several inversions. The coaster has been criticized for its relatively “boring” second half, but still remains one of the top rated coasters in the US.

It is stated that the Incredible Hulk is powered by its own generator independent of Orlando's power grid. Some say that Hulk uses so much power that, if it were on Orlando's power grid, it would brownout the city every time it launched a car.

The original concept of the roller coaster was to be that of the Silver Surfer, but was later changed because the glare from the sun reflected from the track was being said to cause problems for drivers on nearby roads. Thus, the color of the track was changed from silver to green, and the concept became centered around the Incredible Hulk.
