Hugh Montgomery is an American mathematician, working in the fields of analytic number theory and mathematical analysis. He earned his PhD from University of Cambridge and now teaches at University of Michigan.

He is best known for his development of the large sieve methods.

He is famous for his attempts of solving Riemann Hypothesis.
