The House of Bishops is the third House in a General Synod of the Anglican Church.

Composition of a General Synod.


This consists of the two Archbishops, plus the 3 Houses - Bishops - in which the Diocesan Bishops attend as of right, while a fixed number of sufragen bishops are elected to the House. The houses of Clergy and Laity are elected from the members of the Diocesan Synods by the Synod members themselves.
