Hira or the Cave of Hira is a cave on the peak name Jabal al-Nour in the Hejaz region of present day Saudi Arabia.
It is most notable for being the location were Muhammad, according to Islam, received his first revelations from God (الله) through the angel Gabriel (جبريل).
