Healy is a census-designated place located in Denali Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. As of the 2000 census, the population of the CDP was 1,000.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1,733.7 km² (669.4 mi²). 1,732.8 km² (669.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²) of it (0.05%) is water.
There were 436 households out of which 33.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.4% were married couples living together, 3.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 43.6% were non-families. 37.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 0.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 3.12.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 5.5% from 18 to 24, 34.3% from 25 to 44, 30.6% from 45 to 64, and 2.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 132.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 142.8 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $60,000, and the median income for a family was $77,806. Males had a median income of $65,729 versus $30,227 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $28,225. About 2.5% of families and 4.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.9% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
