Hasan Salihamidžić (born January 1, 1977) is a football midfielder from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Salihamidžić is currently a key part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team and star for Bayern Munich in German club football.
Salihamidžić was born in Jablanica to a Bosniak family. His father Ahmed and mother Šefika gave him the nickname "Brazzo" in Bosnian "Braco" meaning "little brother" since Hasan has an older sister. He finished high school (Matura) and played in the local club FK Turbina Jablanica between 1987 and 1991. Then, Salihamidžić moved to Velež Mostar where he stayed until 1992.
In 1992, he moved to the German Bundesliga and joined Hamburger SV. He would stay at Hamburger until 1998 before moving to FC Bayern München.
Salihamidžić and the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in its brief history, have never qualified for a big tournament, but in the qualifying campaign for , only one goal in the last game against Denmark separated them from the big tournament in Portugal.
Hasan Salihamidžić has three children, Selina, Nick and Lara, with his Spanish girlfriend Esther Copado. In his free time, Hasan reportedly enjoys long quiet walks, movies and music.
