Captain Sir Harold Campbell, KCVO DSO Royal Navy, was Equerry to the King and then to the Queen 1936-1954.

He was born 1888 and died in 1969.

He was Private Secretary to the Duke of York 1933-1936, and Deputy Comptroller 1936, and when the Duke became King was appointed to his Household was Groom of the Robes 1937-1954. From 1954 until his death he was Extra Equerry.

Campbell was made a CVO in 1935, and was promoted to KCVO in 1943, and GCVO in 1953. He was made a DSO in 1918.
