Halloween Havoc was an annual PPV in World Championship Wrestling from 1989 through 2000. The first two were under the NWA banner of Jim Crockett Promotions. The final five events were held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The name obviously refers to October's popular holiday of Halloween. Bill Goldberg won the main events of the three final Halloween Havocs.

• NWA World Heavyweight Championship : Sting (champion) def. Sid Vicious to retain the title. At one point, Sid was announced as the new champion after pinning an impostor Sting (played by Barry Windham), but when the real Sting came out tied up in rope, the match was ordered to continue.

• Chamber of Horrors match: El Gigante, Sting, The Steiner Brothers def. Abdullah the Butcher, The Diamond Studd, Cactus Jack and Big Van Vader when Abdullah the Butcher was "electrocuted" in the electric chair

The Giant wins the title. but the title was held up the next night due to the controversy surrounding the bout.
