Hakusan (白山市; -shi) is a city located in Ishikawa, Japan.
As of January 1, 2005 population data, the city has an estimated population of 112,215 and a density of 148 persons per km². The total area is 755.17 km².
The city was founded on February 1, 2005 from the merger of the city of Matto with seven towns and villages from Ishikawa District.
Hakusan (located in Ishikawa Prefecture) is also the name of one of Japan's 3 most sacred mountain (the other 2 being Mt. Fuji and Tateyama).
