Hakan Yakin (born February 22, 1977 in Basel) is a Swiss-Turkish football player. Hakan plays in the Swiss Super League with Young Boys.
His career has been overshadowed by some trouble regarding his club transfers, as his engagements outside Switzerland ( Paris St. Germain, Galatasaray and VfB Stuttgart ) were not accompanied by luck. Nonetheless he has been one of the best and most important Swiss football players for almost 10 years.
Hakan has been capped over 40 times for Switzerland and played in Euro 2004. He is the brother of Murat Yakin.
