Grupo Niche is a salsa group from Colombia which enjoys great popularity throughout Latin America. It was formed in 1980 by Jairo Varela, the leader of the group, who sings, write songs, and plays the güiro.

Grupo Niche is known for both its vigorous, uptempo dance music as well as slower-paced romantic numbers. Among its best known hits are Cali Pachanguero, Gotas de Lluvia, Una Aventura, Han Cogido la Cosa, and the cumbia Canoa Rancha.

One of the most famous singers from Niche has been Charlie Zaa, and the now members of Son de Cali, they have been very successful, and their singing has become classic of Salsa.
