The Gros Ventres (French for "Big Bellies") is a name given to two distinct Native American groups in North America. The Hidatsa were known as the "Gros Ventres of the Missouri" and the Atsina were known as the "Gros Ventres of the Prairie/Plains."

Gros Ventre River is also the name of a river in northwestern Wyoming. In 1925 a massive rockslide dammed the river. The resulting lake overflowed causing damage downstream.
