Great Grimsby was a local government district and borough in the former non-metropolitan county of Humberside from 1974 to 1996.

It was named after Great Grimsby, its main town.

In 1996, Humberside was abolished, and the borough was merged with the surrounding borough of Cleethorpes to form the unitary North East Lincolnshire.
