The Village of Golf is so small and concealed that the only reason most people know it exists is due to its notorious traffic enforcement along the busy Golf Road westbound that borders the village on the south. This tiny village writes thousands of tickets annually, with enforcement at all times, and zero tolerance of speeding or other minor issues like no front license plate, lights not on at dusk/light rain etc. Such violations result in $30 compliance tickets, for violating village ordinances, of which 100% goes to the Village of Golf providing a major source of revenue. Golf tends not to issue state tickets that result in court dates and license points, because it collects far less as its share on a $75 state ticket, and judges have warned and fined the village in the past for their overreaching enforcement. The $30 tickets keep the matter (and the money) in Golf.
