The Golden Age is the movie sequel to the film Elizabeth, starring Cate Blanchett. Written by Michael Hirst and produced by Working Title Films, The Golden Age is directed by Shekhar Kapur. It is planned for an October 2007 release. It is currently being filmed at Shepperton Studios, and on the following locations around the UK: Westminster Cathedral, Ely Cathedral, Winchester Cathedral and St. John's College, Cambridge.

Plot


An exploration of the relationship between Elizabeth I (Cate Blanchett) and the adventurer Sir Walter Raleigh (Clive Owen).
