GoldFlex® is a synthetic fiber often used in bulletproof vests and body armor.

It is manufactured by Honeywell.

Other popular fibres are Kevlar and Dyneema. The GoldFlex fibre is claimed to be stronger and more flexible than Kevlar, therefore producing higher quality and possibly more comfortable armor, but it is also more expensive.

Honeywell manufactures a polyethylene fiber by name Spectra, as well as non-woven fabrics such as Spectra Shield and Gold Flex that are used for both rigid and soft body armor.
