The Guajiro or Goajiro are a semi-nomadic Native American people of South America who inhabit the peninsula and Department of Guajira, located in northern Colombia. They speak Arawakan. They believe that a moth found in the bedroom is an ancestor visiting and as such must be treated with the greatest respect.
