Geolocation is the real-world geographic location of an Internet connected computer, mobile device, or website visitor based on the Internet Protocol address (also known as Geo-IP), mac address, hardware embedded article/production number, embedded software number (such as EXIF/IPTC/XMP or modern steganography), invoice, or other, perhaps self-disclosed, information.
