Gary Baseman (b. 1960) is a cartoonist, gallery artist, and an illustrator based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Baseman was born in Los Angeles, and received a Phi Beta Kappa degree from UCLA in 1982.

Baseman is a creator and an executive producer of the animated television show for ABC/Disney Teacher's Pet, which won two years in a row the Emmy award for Best Daytime Animated series and a British Emmy (BAFTA) for best International Children's Programming.

Baseman is also the artist behind the hit game Cranium. His illustrations have appeared on the pages of Time, Rolling Stone, GQ, The New Yorker, Forbes, Esquire and The New York Times.
