Galðr (plural galðrar) is the Old Norse for "spell, incantation" (compare Old English: gealdor or galdor, derived from which is Modern English yell).

The Galdralag is the "magic spell metre" of Old Norse poetry, containing a fourth line which echoes and varies the third line.
