The Frankfurt Galaxy is an American football team based in Frankfurt, Germany. Currently, they're the defending champions of NFL Europe.

In 1991, the Galaxy was a founding member of the "World League of American Football" (WLAF). They hosted the first ever WLAF game against the London Monarchs at Waldstadion on March 23, 1991 and scored the first ever WLAF points with a Safety, yet lost the game.

When the World League resumed in 1995, the Galaxy as well as fellow european teams London Monarchs and Barcelona Dragons were the only former WLAF teams that continued playing. As these two teams folded since the league was renamed to NFL Europe, the Galaxy remains as the oldest pro football team outside of the NFL and CFL.

Frankfurt has won the World Bowl four times in 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2006, but was not yet able to defend it, as they lost also three times, in 1996, 1998 and 2004.
