Frank De Vol (September 20, 1911 - October 27, 1999) was an American actor and composer of film and television music.
When he was 14 he became a member of the Musicians union. After playing violin in his father's orchestra and appearances in a China restaurant he joined the Horace Heidt Orchestra in the 1930s. He was responsible for the arrangements.
Though he was nominated five times for an Oscar for his film scores, he is best recognized for his television theme tunes, like Family Affair, The Brady Bunch, Get Smart and My Three Sons.
De Vol was also an actor, and he is perhaps best remembered for his role as bandleader Happy Kyne on the 1970's talk show parodies Fernwood 2Nite and America 2Nite.
He was married twice. The first time to Grayce Agnes McGinty from 1935 to 1989. His two daughters Linda Morehouse and Donna Copeland were born during that time. The second marriage was with television actress Helen O'Connell from 1991 to 1993.
He died from a heart failure in Lafayette, California in 1999. He was 87.
