Franciszek Piper is a Polish scholar, historian, and author. Most of his work concerns the Jewish Holocaust, especially the history of the concentration camps at Auschwitz. He has written several books and was chair of the Historical Department at the Auschwitz State Museum. He currently is associated with the Państwowe Muzeum, Auschwitz-Birkenau
