The Fortune Global 500 is a ranking of the top 500 corporations as measured by revenue. The list is compiled and published annually by Fortune magazine. It differs from the Fortune 500 in that the latter only lists the top US corporations.
This is the top 10 as published on 25 July 2005. It is based on the companies' 31 December 2004 year ends, except for Wal-Mart (31 January 2005) and Toyota (31 March 2005):
The top ten includes four oil companies, four automobile manufacturers, one retailer and one conglomerate. The complete list is available online.
