1968-69 - Founder members of Gloucestershire County League
1975-76 - Joined Hellenic League Premier Division
1981-82 - Hellenic League Champions. FA Vase Winners; promoted to Southern League Midland Division
1989 - Changed name to Stroud F.C.
1992 - Changed name back to Forest Green Rovers
1995-96 - Switched to Southern Division
1996-97 - Southern League Southern Division Champions; promoted to Premier Division
1997-98 - Southern League Champions; promoted to Conference
1998-99 - FA Trophy runner-up
2000-01 - FA Trophy runner-up

Best league position: 9th in Conference (level 5), 2002-03
Best FA Cup performance: 2nd round, 1999-00
Best FA Trophy performance: finalists, 1998-99 and 2000-01.
Best FA Vase performance: winners, 1981-82.

The Lawn

The Lawn is the home of Forest Green but just has one year's service left as Rovers move to their new ground further up the road. The Lawn Ground has been home to Rovers since the club was formed in 1890 when the club was named Nailsworth & Forest Green Rovers Football Club. The ground has a capacity of 5,141, and has changed very little since it was built in the 1960s. Over the past few years, due to Nationwide Conference regulations, the ground has seen some changes including the Trevor Horsley Stand and Barnfield Terrace sponsored by Rockwool.
