The Football League War Cup was an English football tournament held during World War II, between 1939 and 1945. The final was played at Wembley Stadium.

It was first won by West Ham in June 1940 when they beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 thanks to a 34th minute goal from Sam Small. Preston North End won the cup in 1941 and Wolves in 1942 beating Sunderland.

From 1942 the competition was split into north and south halves, with the winners of each section competing in a play-off.
