Fernando de Alva Cortés Ixtlilxochitl (ca. 1568 – 1648) was a Mexican historian. He was a lineal descendant of Ixtlilxochitl I and Ixtlilxochitl II, tlatoque (rulers) of Texcoco. He was commissioned by the Spanish Viceroy of New Spain to write histories of the Indigenous peoples of Mexico. The Codex Ixtlilxochitl is attributed to him.
