Fergus () is a small town of 10,017 (2001) people in Ontario, Canada. It lies on the Grand River about eighteen km north of Guelph.

Fergus is best known for the annual highland games, held in August. Competitions are held for music, dancing and 'heavy' events such as the caber toss. It also is home to North America's biggest truck show that is held every July.

It also has two streets running parallel to the Grand River, and they are sometimes called the "downtown" of Fergus (St. Patrick's and St. Andrew's) Fergus also has its own airport which carries medium traffic. Fergus too, incorperates the Wellington County Museum and Archives and the Wellington count main library.

Centre Wellington District High School (C.W.D.H.S) is located in the newer suburbs of the town. It is home to the Falcons and has a student population of roughly 1500.

A new community complex still under construction but open to the public includes a new pool and a second ice rink to complement the existing ice facilities in the older section.
