Feast is a horror film that is a result of the third season Project Greenlight contest. It was executive produced by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Wes Craven and Chris Moore for Dimension Films, but was later taken to The Weinstein Company in their so called "divorce" from Miramax Films (which owns Dimension Films). The winning team was composed of writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton and director John Gulager.
The film premiered at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, the Chicago International Film Festival, the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival, and the Savannah Film Festival on various dates throughout October 2005.
John Gulager was named "Best Director" for FEAST at Fantastic Fest 2005.
The film was scheduled for a wide theatrical release on January 20, 2006. However, the Weinstein Company later pulled the release date and displayed no interest in releasing it for some time. The film is now scheduled to be released on September 22, 2006, almost a year after its premiere.
