Families USA is an American advocacy organization dedicated to the achievement of high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. The nonprofit, non-partisan organization acts as a watchdog over government actions affecting health care, alerting consumers to changes and helping them have a say in the development of policy, producing reports describing the problems facing health care consumers and outlining steps to solve them. It grew out of the civil rights and anti-Vietnam protests of the 1960s.
