Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (FIE) (English: International Fencing Federation) is the international governing body of Olympic fencing. It was founded on November 29, 1913 in Paris, France. Today, its head office is in Lausanne, Switzerland. The FIE is composed of 115 national federations, which are recognized by their country's Olympic Committee as the sole representative of fencing in their country. The current president of the federation is René Roch.
